HERE’S one garden shed that promises to be bigger on the inside than it looks.

David Lifton’s life-size replica of Doctor Who’s Tardis should be able to swallow up any number of lawnmowers, plant pots and other garden gear that gets shoved into sheds.

Now it’s scooped top prize in a national competition.

David Lifton, of Little Bentley, won the Tardis Shed of the Year title.

“The reason for building the Tardis was primarily for my 11-year-old son Rhys, who is Doctor Who-mad,” said David.

It took five months to build and is now in the running for the overall Shed of the Year £1,000 top prize.
