A MULTI-SCREEN cinema could be heading to Harwich as part of plans for a major shopping and leisure park.
Plans have been unveiled for the £45 million shopping and leisure centre on land off the A120.
The development will include a cinema, restaurants, a supermarket, employment land and 250 new homes.
There will also be a pub, hotel and shops.
The Harwich Valley scheme spearheaded by Harding Estates is expected to create 1,500 full and part time jobs.
Subject to planning permission, building on the scheme could begin in early 2015.
It is understood a major supermarket wants to be part of the plans.
Peter Williams of Harding Estates said: “This is a once in a generation opportunity for us to create a destination that Harwich can be proud of."
