PATIENTS forced to spend Christmas in hospital were treated to small gifts to brighten their festive season.
The Fellowship For The Sick charity visited the Trinity Ward at Dovercourt’s Fryatt Hospital to offer some Christmas spirit.
Around 14 women and ten men were given presents on Christmas morning by volunteers of the charity.
Betty Holbrook, vice-chairman of the charity, added: “It is a hard time to be in hospital but the patients were well looked after - it was nice we were able to visit and spread some festive joy.”
