A HOMEOWNER’S bid to build a house in her back garden has been slammed for a second time.
Angela Hodgkinson has submitted a second planning application for permission to build a two-bedroom, two storey home behind her house in Ashley Road, Dovercourt.
But Harwich Town Council’s planning committee has again objected to the plans at the lastest meeting.
Councillor Jo Henderson, said: “None of us thought it was appropriate.
“It’s a back garden and the access is from a through road, it’s too heavily conjested.”
Essex County Council’s highways department has also registered an objection to the plan, submitted last month, stating that the access is contrary to highway safety.
John McPherson, who is acting as an agent for Ms Hodgkinson, was unavailable for comment.
