DEVELOPERS are calling for support for Harwich’s first bingo hall, which they claim could transform the town’s economy.
Owner Mike Gibbons wants to turn the former snooker hall in Kingsway, Dovercourt, into a bingo establishment.
If given the go-ahead by Tenring Council the hall, which has been closed for seven years, will have a range of bingo games played and fruit machines both run by Top Draw Bingo.
Mr Gibbons said: "This has the ability to transform the town and regenerate it."
