About 1,200 cyclists took part in this year's Tour de Tendring on Sunday.
Mark Platt, cabinet member for leisure, was part of the action as well, tackling the 20 mile route on a tandem bike with blind team mate Sean Dilley.
He said: "The Tour de Tendring is a particularly popular event and this year was it's 21st birthday."
