A TEENAGER’S Christmas bike he bought after saving up his festive paper-round tips has been stolen from outside his home.
Mum Beverley Newport said 15-year-old Jake Davids and sister Summer, 16, both locked up their bikes at their Holyrood home, in Dovercourt, on June 19.
The cycles were seen by a neighbour at 10pm, but had vanished by 6.30am the following day when the pair went to leave for their paper-rounds.
Beverley said: “They are both upset. We have a streetlight outside the house that used to be on before they turned them off.
“It seems a coincidence that the lights go out and this happens because we haven’t had trouble before.”
Anyone with information about the theft should call police on 101.
