CAMPAIGNERS and councillors have been left unimpressed by the “frustrating” delay in the works beginning on the A120.
Tendring Council leader Mick Page said everyone hopes that the changes will make a difference and help to reduce the number of accidents.
“The cameras are crucial as they will deter motorists from going above the new speed limits,” he said.
“The delay has been frustrating but the work is now getting off the ground and we are pleased that through talks with the new provider the scheme is finally under way.”
Long term work will see a multi-million pound roundabout built on the road, although a location has yet to be revealed.
