A TOP cop believes new antisocial behaviour regulations will make Harwich a better place.
The Crime and Policing Act 2014 has given new powers to police, council officers and registered social landlords.
Speaking at an extraordinary meeting of Harwich Town Council district commander Russ Cole said: “The new legislation is much more streamlined and allows us to work in partnership with the public.
“It is not about criminalising people – it is more of a common sense approach to dealing with anti-social behaviour.
“Hopefully the police can work together with Harwich Town Council to nip things in the bud.”
