A CORNER shop is set to be turned into a new cafe and tearoom.
Wick Lane Stores in Dovercourt was closed earlier this year.
Now its owners Gavin and Karen Rose have been given permission by Tendring Council to turn the shop into a restaurant or cafe.
The shop will be rebranded as Rainbows Cafe and it is hoped it will open by Easter.
Mrs Rose said: “We are calling it Rainbows Cafe because the first lady who owned it was called Mrs Rainbow.
“We are hopefully going to open by spring."
