FIREWORKS will once again light up the sky at Trinity Pier in Harwich this New Years Eve.
The fireworks display usually attracts a crowd of more than 5,000 people, who gather at the harbour front to watch the 20-minute show. On the night, the public toilets will be open and streetlights will remain switched on.
Volunteers from the Harwich Society will be holding collection buckets for spectators to make donations towards the firework display.
Vital donations that keep the event running come from organisations including Harwich Town Council and local businesses and pubs. To donate, call Betty Holbrook on 07909 513720 or send cheques to her at Government House, Harwich Green, Harwich.
