Revamp of Dovercourt pool proves a big hit
A £900,000 revamp of Dovercourt’s swimming pool and gym has proved a massive hit.
In December the pool reopened as Dovercourt Bay Lifestyles following a major facelift.
The improved facility saw 69 people sign up during December and gym attendances since reopening have soared by 1,000 compared to last year.
Mark Platt, Tendring Council cabinet member for leisure, said: “Staff were truly amazed at how busy they were in December in what is usually a quieter time of the year for them."
