A HANDYMAN who was just months into his own business venture has had hundreds of pounds worth of tools stolen.
Scott Plant had all his tools, including a kitchen worktop router, a drill, a chop saw, taken from the site in Harwich where he was working last week.
Two toolboxes filled with spanners, screwdrivers and other essential bits of kit were also stolen.
He left the items there at the weekend and when he returned to the site, which is in Main Road in Harwich, on Monday he found everything had gone.
He estimates the stolen items are worth about £600.
The 43-year-old from Brightlingsea, said three other people were also targeted and had a number of items taken including generators.
Mr Plant believes about £4,000 worth of stuff was taken in total.
Anyone with information should contact Essex Police on 101.
