TOWN leaders have stepped up their bid to tackle a trio of traffic problems on Manningtree’s High Street.
Last month councillors raised concerns that faded white lines are meaning drivers are flouting parking restrictions, zebra crossing markings are “barely visible” and a bid for yellow lines to be extended had not progressed.
Manningtree Town Council had yet to receive a response regarding any of its concerns at its latest meeting on Thursday.
Now mayor Mark Morsley will personally contact the agencies involved to get some answers.
He said: “Outside Lucca last night someone had parked one of those big black Jeep trucks - the buses would have struggled to get passed it.
“I thought this is a joke but they would say you can’t see the white lines.
“We don’t want to wait until someone is seriously injured.”
