THE decision to reject plans to turn a former care home into a house has been upheld.
Tendring Council turned down a scheme for Camberley Lodge, in Fronks Road, Dovercourt, in February.
A report had said the applicant had not proved the business was no longer suitable for employment use.
The applicant, who hoped to use the 11 bedroom building as a home, then appealed against the decision.
Now the decision has been upheld by a Government planning inspector, who decided no evidence had been provided to prove the property was no longer suitable for alternative employment purposes.
