DRONES and robots helped to teach schoolchildren about the world of science.
Technology defence specialists BAE Systems visited Manningtree High School to give the children an insight into the world of science.
Students were given an interactive roadshow showcasing science, technology, engineering and maths, career opportunities in the defence sector.
Science teacher, Raejohn Shiplee, said: “Part one explored the world of drones, the technology behind them and the multifarious uses they are put to and their possible uses for the future.
“Part two focused on computing and control systems that all modern technology is built around, but the highlight of the show was Nell the robot who amazed the students by answering questions and demonstrating Tai Chi.”
