MUSIC buffs raised hundreds of pounds for Harwich Foodbank from a song-themed quiz night.
The music quiz was held by Harwich Society’s quiz team at The Royal Oak on Monday.
Harwich Town councillor Dave McLeod played the music while mayor Pam Morrison and mayoress Kim Warner sold raffle tickets.
The 13 teams raised £235 for the food bank.
The quiz questions were compiled by Garry and Lynsey Calver and the winners were The Royal Oak with a score of 92 out of 100.
Mr Calver said: “The food bank is a very good cause and everyone came together to support it.”
“We raised a lot of money while having fun which is what Harwich Society quiz nights are all about.”
