A RIBBON cutting ceremony took place to mark the opening of a charity shop which supports adults with learning difficulties.
Acorn Village, in Mistley, invited residents to the official opening of its shop in Manningtree High Street, on Thursday, August 24.
Tendring and Essex County Councillor for Manningtree Carlo Guglielmi cut the ribbon to open the shop with volunteer Mary Green and Susie, an Acorn Village resident.
The shop, which is run by about 20 volunteers, sells a combination of bric-a-brac items and music and books.
The charity shop’s profits will go straight back into benefitting adults with learning disabilities.
It will be open Monday to Saturday during the day.
