A man will appear in court charged with manslaughter after the death of man who was punched to the ground outside a pub.
Kieren O’Rourke, 42, was assaulted outside the Boars Head pub in High Street on April 8.
Mr O’Rourke, of Dunmow, was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford and later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he died on April 18.
A post mortem examination gave a preliminary cause of death as a head injury.
David-Lee Conlan, 31, unemployed, of Childs Lane, Stansted Mountfitchet, has been summonsed to appear at court charged with the manslaughter of Mr O’Rourke and assault occasioning actual bodily harm against a second man.
He is due to attend Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on November 22.
