A LADIES night is being held to raise money for a husband who tragically lost his baby and was then diagnosed with cancer.
Emergency transport attendants Ashley and Victoria Jones’s son George died in February last year when he was just five months old.
He was born with his bowel, liver and stomach growing outside of his body, and sadly died months later.
While the couple were still grieving over the loss, Ashley, 30, of Conies Road, Halstead, was diagnosed with bowel and liver cancer in November and he began chemotherapy.
On finding out about Ashley’s cancer, his friends set up a fundraising page to try to raise enough money to give him and his wife Victoria a dream holiday.
The ladies night will be held on Saturday and there will be beauty treatments, Prosecco, photo booths, a bar and a raffle.
It will take place at the Venture Centre 2000 in Lawford, from 7.30pm until 11.30pm.
Tickets are £20 each.
