A SCHOOL reunion which saw people travel from as far as Singapore raised more than £270 for charity.
Old schoolfriends from the Harwich School met to mark 40 years since they left.
Former students came from as far as Singapore, Canada, the USA, Malta and France to be at the reunion, organised by Sandra Martin and Louise Joplin.
Louise said: “It took many months to trace everyone, but it was all worth it to see them together again after such a long time. We would like to thank everyone who helped us with the hire of the hall, the photography, the buffet and the music and, of course, everyone who came along on the night and supported St Helena Hospice.”
As well as bringing together long-lost friends £276.10 was raised during the evening for the hospice.
