SNAKES, inflatables and even Spider-Man helped raise £600 at a family fun day.
The Brantham Family Fun Day was held on Saturday with a range of activities for children as well as stalls.
Organiser Alice Simpson said the day, which was in aid of the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, was a great success.
She said: “It went really well. We could have had more people but with the hot weather and the other activities that were going on around the area.
“But we had Tailwaggers dog display team, which were absolutely brilliant - they were wearing their cool coats. Essex Reptile Encounters were the top attractions and they had lizards and snakes and tortoises. Even I held the Burmese Python, which I can’t believe.
“Spider-Man was there and the kids absolutely loved him - he was doing acrobatics.
The fundraising event is in its fourth year after starting life as a cash builder to pay towards an air ambulance trek to Slovenia.Alice raised as much as possible for the charity on two other treks to Nepal and Cambodia. She no longer takes part in the treks but has continues to organise the fun day.
“Everyone had a really good time and we’ve had great feedback.”
