AN ARTIST from Devon is taking over her little brother's gallery in Manningtree for an exhibition.
Barbara Whiteley, an established artist from Devon who has widely exhibited in the West Country, will be displaying her work for two weeks from October 1 at MacArt gallery in the High Street, Manningtree.
Barbara is the older sister of the gallery owner, Brian McAleer.
Having started her artistic career later in life, it took off with exhibitions throughout the West Country.
Barbara said: " My work is an evocation of the journey of life, and the joy of movement.
"The vibrant paintings find beauty in everyday objects - things we take for granted.
"Colour, shape, form and design play their part, bringing freshness to the viewer.
The MacArt Gallery is open for the exhibition on Friday, October 5 and Saturday October 6 from 10am to 4pm, Sunday 2 to 4 pm, Monday 11am to 4pm and the following Friday and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
