A Witham drug dealer has been jailed after being caught with MDMA, cocaine and cannabis.

Jon Flowers, 37, of Wulvesford, was sentenced to four years in prison for possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis.

He was also sentenced to one month for possession of MDMA, to run concurrently.

Flowers was caught on March 2017 when officers raided his home at 8.05am and found £950 in cash, 214g of cannabis, 20.7g of cocaine and 1.97g of MDMA.

Harwich and Manningtree Standard:

Investigating officer PC Paul Norman, of Braintree and Uttlesford Community Policing Team, said: “Flowers quickly admitted being in possession of MDMA and cannabis and initially told police cocaine left in a man bag in his kitchen belonged to someone else.

"He later admitted owning the cocaine but said it was for his own personal use and not for supply, however, the jury refused to believe his lies.

“This case has resulted in a drug dealer being locked in prison and drugs worth a street value worth a four-figure sum being removed from our communities.”

Flowers was sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court on September 25, after he was found guilty by a jury following a trial for possession with intent to supply cocaine.

He admitted the other offences.

Police have started proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
