A YOUTH group which has fundraised for the needy and created campaign films has celebrated it's tenth anniversary.

Harwich Inspired Youth Action, the youth community group of Teen Talk in Harwich, has been carrying out events, activities and campaigns since 2008.

It is made up of groups of 11 to 18 years olds always aiming to make a positive impact on their community.

Over the years, they have held five hoody festivals, donated gift boxes for those in need at Christmas, produced films on the dangers of energy drinks and domestic violence.

They also have volunteered in many different projects around Harwich.

The Harwich Inspired Youth Action group has received a number of awards across Harwich, and is working on an anti-bullying campaign film set to be shown in schools - it will also feature a post box, allowing students to share their experiences.

Jodie Hall from Teen Talk said: "We are immensely proud of the young people who have been a part of HIYA over the past 10 years and all that they have achieved.

"They are a hard working group with a great attitude towards tackling modern day challenges and have really shown how valuable young people are as part of our community."
