A DOUBLE act wearing black suits and sunglasses can only mean one thing - the return of the Chicago Blues Brothers.

The award-winning pair will be taking to the stage paying tribute to the legendary Blues Brothers in their latest motown mission.

Fronting the nine-piece band are Chris Hindle as Joliet “Jake” Blues and Gareth Davey as Elwood Blues.

They will be putting on a two-hour high energy, all singing, all dancing show featuring dozens of the Blues Brothers chart-topping hits.

Chris, who also serves as the show’s musical arranger and producer, said: “One of the things I love about being a Chicago Blues Brother is the chance to carry on the legacy of the legendary John Belushi as Jake Blues; he was a crazy, funny guy who was unpredictable and wild – very much like me.

“Motown Mission is a great show – we perform original music from the Blues Brothers films as well as many hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s and wherever we go, audiences know most of the numbers – it’s a total blast from start to finish.”

The pair are joined onstage with an amazing brass section and stunning backing vocalists, complete with their trademark black shades.

The Chicago Blues Brothers capture the sound, energy, humour and characters of the iconic pair.

Chris trained at the De Costa Academy of Singing in York; a natural tenor and performer.

From deep bluesy bass vocals to sweet soulful falsetto, Gareth possesses a rare vocal range that perfectly suits his role as Elwood Blues. Gareth is a natural dancer, a born musician and has a dynamic stage presence which audiences love.

Motown Mission is coming to Clacton’s Princes Theatre on November 10 at 7.30pm. To buy tickets, visit princestheatre.co.uk or call 01255 686633.
