LITTER pickers braved the cold and rainy weather to fill 15 bags of rubbish.
Residents stepped out in force as part of the Keep Great Oakley Tidy Campaign on Sunday.
During the pick, residents found an electrical transformer, a printer, lots of cigarette butts and a dumped golf caddy cart.
Catherine Cocker, who is part of the campaign group, said: “Because we did so well we figured there was no need to do the litter pick next week, so the next litter pick will be on Sunday, November 25 at 10.30am, meeting outside the village hall.”
