Bike-riding legal eagles have raised more than £5,000 for charity.

Holmes and Hills Solicitors, based in Bocking End, Braintree, raised a total of £5,100 for Age UK and Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens Trust.

The firm’s 13th annual charity bike ride took place in September and attracted more than 250 riders.

Company partner Phil Davies said: “We have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity and support for the Holmes and Hills Charity Bike Ride.

“We are pleased we have been able to raise such a fantastic amount to be split between two very worthwhile causes and we thank all of those that helped us by volunteering, spreading the word or taking part.”

He added: “It really is a community effort to make it happen.”

The total amount raised will now be split evenly between the two charities.
