A CANVEY fun park narrowly missed scooping a Family Favourites Award for best day out for under fives after winning the category for East Anglia.
Leisure Park Fun Park, on Canvey seafront, consists of mini rollercoasters suitable for the younger children.
Unfortunately, the fun park lost out to national award to Poulton’s Park, in Hampshire, which is home to Peppa Pig world, but owner Scott Petty said it was great to have been recognised.
Scott added: “We were not expecting to win against Legoland and Peppa Pig World, but we’re proud at how far we’ve come, and hope it will keep bringing people to Canvey seafront.”
