Flames coursed through a derelict home late on November 11.
At 10.41pm crews from three stations were called to Albion Hill in Loughton.
There they found the first floor of a run-down property, which measures approximately 30 metres by 15 metres, completely smoke logged.
The fire fighters had extinguished the blaze by 11.32pm.
It was largely contained to the room it started in, but also affected the top floor of the building and a small area of the roof.
An investigation found that the fire was caused accidentally by faulty electrical wiring.
