MORE than 30 mums, dads and children are donning fancy dress and taking on a 5k charity inflatable obstacle course.
The team from Lawford Primary School got together after one of the pupils and two parents were diagnosed with type one diabetes.
Mum-of two-Emily Vandersteen said: βI have children in Year 2 and in reception and it is a pupil in the reception class that was recently diagnosed with type one diabetes. Two parents of children in reception have also been diagnosed.
βIt has brought about an understanding for the other parents and children of the challenges they face on a daily basis.β
The 32-strong team, which includes children from seven to 11 years old, will be wearing festive fancy dress for the event on December 1 in Ipswich.
Money raised will be split between the school PTA and the diabetes charity.
