A TOP Genesis tribute band will raise the roof with their uncanny likeness to the sound and feel of the legendary group.

Genesis Connected make their return to Clacton’s West Cliff Theatre following acclaimed visits in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

The show celebrates the long-running musical career of Genesis, spanning their roots as a Seventies prog rock group to their more radio-friendly stadium-fillers.

Versatile frontman Pete Bultitude is a self-confessed Genesis fanatic, and a talented singer in his own right.

In 1998, he reached the grand final of ITV’s Stars In Their Eyes.

He began a love affair with drumming at the age of 12 after hearing Phil Collins’ iconic In the Air Tonight.

Within a year he was playing in clubs with his parents’ band.

Bultitude has performed at some of the UK’s top venues, including Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre, the London Palladium and the Grosvenor House Hotel.

He is backed by Chris Woods on keyboards, who began his career in pub bands before moving on to professional contracts on ships.

He grew up listening to Genesis, gaining an appreciation and feel for their distinct sound.

Drummer Marty Wild has toured with The Monkees, The Manfreds and The Blues Band, taking part in his first gig at the age of nine.

Lou Short on bass and Lee Spence on lead guitar round out the line-up.

Expect hits spanning from the late Seventies onwards, including Turn It On Again, Sledgehammer, In The Air Tonight and Over My Shoulder.

Genesis Connected are at the West Cliff Theatre On Friday, December 7 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £21 and can be booked by calling the box office on 01255 433344.
