A BUDDING photographer’s dazzling image of a bald eagle scooped him first place in a wildlife picture competition.
Zak Morath, 12, won the junior section of the contest, run by the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, for his photograph of Lincoln the bald eagle.
The Harwich and Dovercourt High School student, said: “I really enjoyed taking part in the competition. I’ve recently had a chance to look at the other photos that were entered and the standard was very high so I’m pleased to have won.
“I enjoy doing photography in my spare time and have photographed lots of landscapes in my local area as well as other animals, but birds are my favourite to take pictures of.”
Dad Peter said: “I’m very proud to see Zak’s achievements recognised, and I hope this inspires him to consider a career in photography in the future.”
