AN Indian restaurant cooked up classic chicken korma for dozens of schoolchildren.

The Mogul Restaurant, in Manningtree, made curry for 43 youngsters from Holbrook Academy, in Ipswich.

Minar Miah, joint owner of the restaurant, said he helped teach children how to cook chicken korma, Bombay potatoes and mixed vegetables on the day.

Also helping from the restaurant Sumar Miah and Moftafa Rahuma.

He said: "We thought the school needed help with how to cook curry with spices and vegetables.

"This was the first time we gave a school a free Christmas curry in year and they all enjoyed it."

A Holbrook Academy spokesman said: "The event went well and the children really enjoyed themselves."
