CARE home residents were treated to a ballroom dancing routine just in time for Christmas.
Pensioners from Alexandra House, in Marine Parade, Dovercourt, were visited by two talented ballroom and Latin dancers on Saturday.
Residents and staff watched a dazzling performance by Oliver Hubbard and Lexi Smith, both 12, who did a ballroom and Latin routine. Rachel Hubbard, Oliver’s mum, said: “They volunteered their time to bring a bit of Christmas joy to the elderly on Saturday morning.
“They have been dancing together for a year and performed five ballroom dances and five Latin dances for about 20 residents. The residents absolutely loved the dancing.”
She said two residents, Cyril and Betty Vinnicombe are in their 90s and have been dancing together since they were 15 years old.
