KIND-HEARTED members of Colchester Nepalese Society made a donation to the town's foodbank in time for the busy festive season.
Members of the group collected a range of tinned food, dried goods and other essentials for Colchester Foodbank.
The items were donated to the foodbank at its base in Eastgates by the chairman, deputy chairman and deputy food co-ordinator of the society, before Christmas Day.
Udai Gurung, of Colchester Nepalese Society, said: "We managed to collect some dry food which was not required by our members over the last few months.
"Collecting spare food for the foodbank from the members was our objective in order to help those less fortunate."
Every December Colchester Foodbank has seen increased demand on its services.
