A COMMUNITY fundraising group has pledged £10,000 to a charity for victims of brain injury.
Harwich and Dovercourt Rotary Club has handed over it's first £2,000 cheque to Headway Essex, with more to follow in the next four years.
Norman Cory, from the club, said: "We have been considering financial support for the worthy charity over a five year period and having arranged for a representatives of Headway Essex to speak to our members at a recent meeting and were impressed with the excellent work they carry out.
"To ensure they can continue to support adults living with acquired brain injury and their families in the Harwich and Dovercourt area rotary president Nigel Barnard presented an initial cheque for £2,000.
"Further payments of £2,000 will be made over the following four years."
