POLICE are urgently trying to track down a man wanted in connection with a rape investigation.

Officers would like to speak to 22-year-old Mahad Hussein, who they believe may be in Southend, in connection with the rape in Brighton.

Mahad could have information to help with the investigation and police believe he may be in Southend but also has links to Brighton and the east of London.

He is black, with short hair and a beard.

Detectives are investigating after a 24-year-old woman was raped in Ship Street, Brighton, during the early hours of Tuesday, January 15.

Anyone with information about where Mahad may be, has seen him or have information that may assist detectives is asked to report details online quoting serial 141 of 15/01.
