The judge who sentenced Bradley Blundell to 22 years in prison said the teen killer “felt no remorse”.

Judge Charles Gratwicke described Blundell’s actions both in the murder of John Pordage and after the killing as “calculating” after he fled the country and went into hiding for about six months.

Judge Gratwicke told Blundell: “You are, not withstanding your age, a dangerous individual, prepared to use violence when crossed as the evidence of this case demonstrates so clearly.

“You are a calculating and organising individual as shown by your plan to flee abroad.

“You are far from being an immature individual.

“Your actions after the shooting reflect you are ruthless.”

Blundell was 17 years and nine months old when he shot Mr Pordage.

If he had been three months older, the minimum sentence for murder would be 30 years.

The distance between the Blundell and his victim was a maximum of 20 inches when he pulled the trigger, which Judge Gratwicke described as “point blank range”.
