A SERIES of arrests have been made in connection with burglaries and vehicle crime across Harwich.

Officers arrested two 17-year-old boys, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy in connection with the offences.

All four males, from the Harwich area, remain in custody.

As part of the operation, officers recovered suspected stolen items.

Inspector Darren Deex, of the Tendring Community Policing Team, said, “We would like to thank the victims and members of the community for reporting these crimes and coming forward with vital information to assist us.

“We believe there may be a number of victims who have still not reported crimes and I would urge anyone who hasn’t yet done so to contact us on 101.

"It is vital that victims report crimes to us; we may not attend all crimes depending on the severity and an assessment of threat, harm and risk however by reporting crime it enables us to build up a picture of what is happening and where.

"This can often lead to identifying opportunities of solving crime series and trends through means we would otherwise not have known about."
