Has your little one got what it takes to be named one of the brightest in the country?

Child Genius, which airs on Channel 4, begins a new series next week.

Now producers are looking for the next little stars to take part in the seventh series.

Child Genius is a primetime show presented by Quizmaster extaordinaire Richard Osman which features a competition devised in association with British Mensa.

It offers parents the chance to bring their children together with like-minded peers to compete for the title of Child Genius.

Rounds may include mental maths, spelling, history, geography and specialist subjects.

In 2016 Essex's Christopher Hookway made it to the semi finals.

The show is looking for children aged eight to 12 to take part.

Around 20 will take part in rounds to be filmed in July and August 2019.

The competition will take place at the Royal Institute, Mayfair.
