A TEENAGE cyclist was taken to hospital as a precaution after being involved in a collision with a car.
Emergency services were called to Laing Road, Colchester, at around 2.20pm on Monday afternoon.
Several police vehicles and an ambulance were sent to the scene and upon arrival it was discovered a 15-year-old boy had been involved in a crash with a Peugeot 208.
Essex Police said the boy was taken to hospital as a “precaution”.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We sent one ambulance and took the patient to Colchester General Hospital."
