APPLICATIONS for Harwich Police Cadets are now open for youngsters at a new location.
Essex Police run a volunteer police cadet service which is available to all young persons aged between 13 and 17 years old.
Police cadets are a uniformed organisation who assist the police service in some operational aspects of policing.
The new location is in Main Road, Harwich, and meetings will be every Wednesday between 7pm and 9pm.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We welcome applications to the new unit and invite any young person with an interest in becoming involved in serving the community and joining the Essex Police family to apply for a place."
Application forms can be secured by emailing Sergeant Pete Gerard at 1998@essex.pnn.police.uk.
The closing date for application form submission will be March 25 and the new unit will start up in late April.
