A WAITRESS is getting fighting fit as funds roll in ahead of her charity boxing match for a cancer charity.

Natassja Guinsberg, 32, has signed up for the Ultra White Collar Boxing event at Colchester's Atik nightclub on March 24.

After weeks of intense exercise the mum-of-two is coming to the end of her gruelling eight-week training schedule getting her in prime condition for the boxing match.

Since training began the Mistley Thorn waitress has won and lost sparring matches, lost 7lbs and has gained some muscle too.

Natassja, from Mistley, said: "Now I'm fitter I've started to fight and first got into the ring on week five and loved it.

"It was pretty frightening to get in the ring though.

"I've lost some fights, I've won some and I've seen some bloody noses everywhere.

"I thought my jaw was dislocated one day after a good smacking too."

Natassja has been training at SD School of Martial Arts, in Colchester, with other contenders and at Busybody's Fitness in Manningtree.

She hopes to raise as much cash as possible from her fight for Cancer Research UK.

"I'm feeling very anxious for the big day but weirdly looking forward to it now too," she added.

"I'm in Portugal at the moment for some relaxation with my family but I've still used gym here and exercised everyday which is something I have never done abroad."

Natassja lives with her two sons aged 13 and seven who she wants to make proud.

She's raised almost £300 through donations and her fundraising page will be running until the day of the match.

She added: "A huge thank you to the support out there from the community, Busybody's Fitness and the trainers at SD School of Martial Arts for all their support."
