A road was closed after drivers a car and a motorbike were involved in a crash.
The junction between Lower Burnham Road and Fambridge Road, near to Sea Food King in Latchingdon has been shut down after the crash, which happened at around 12.30pm.
Residents have reportedly spotted an air ambulance at the scene.
Drivers have said on social media they are having to turn around at Sea Food King and drive back the other way away from the incident.
Residents have now reported the road was back open by around 2.15pm.
A spokesman for Essex Police, said: "We were called shortly before 12.30pm on Monday 22 April with reports of a collision involving a motorbike and a Ford Kuga in Lower Burnham Road.
"The motorcyclist was taken to hospital by land ambulance. His injuries were not believed to be serious."
