A SPORTS club founded in the Eighties is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The badminton club that is intended for ages 40 and over was founded in 1989 is still going strong with members playing at the Harwich Sports Centre every Monday.
Three of the original 27 founding members are still playing to this day.
Some of the oldest members of the sports club are in their eighties and one member is 90.
The club is funded by its members who pay a fee every ten weeks, with as many as 17 attending some weeks.
Peter Brittain, who has looked after the club for 22 years said: βAt present, nothing has been suggested about doing anything special.β
The group just play for fun and are not in any kind of league.
