Who gave permission for the council grass and verge cutters to mow down the large areas of bulbs in Lawford?
Is this through ignorance or uncaring thoughtlessness for the beauty of the locality?
Over many years a group of community spirited residents have planted and financed, with permission, grass verges with spring bulbs, crocuses and daffodils and now next year’s flowering has been put in jeopardy by the untimely cutting of the leaves.
This action is most discouraging when the reason for these bright spring flowers has been to cheer people after the dismal days of winter.
They have been there to lift the spirit and show love and care for our village.
