A LUXURY family run resort has scooped a major prize at a national awards ceremony.
Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa resort won Hotel and Leisure Family Business of the Year 2019 at the Family Business Awards, which were hosted at the plush May Fair Hotel in London.
The award-winning facility, which boasts 80 bedrooms, a spa and fitness club, restaurants and a golf course, has been run by the Peake family’s second and third generation for more 19 years.
The accolade was presented to directors Tamara Unwin, Susanna Rendall and Robert Rendall to mark the family business’ contribution to the UK economy.
Susanna said: “We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to have received this award.
“As a third generation family business we are really delighted to have been recognised in this way and we are particularly grateful to our team of 600 staff.”
