A WITNESS appeal has been made after a 73-year-old man was hit by a car.
The crash involved the pedestrian and a Mini Cooper near The Co-Op Food shop in Wickford High Street shortly before 12.25pm on Wednesday.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with cuts. The driver was reported for careless driving.
A spokesman for Essex Police said; "We’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened."
