AN upset mother is concerned two men filmed her children in a park.

Linda Hymers claimed two men filmed her 11 and 12-year-old daughters in a play area, in Heron Way, Dovercourt, on Sunday.

Mrs Hymers, who lives in Dovercourt, said her daughters were filmed when she was inside Asda at about 3.10pm.

The 45-year-old said: “Two men stopped at the park and started filming the children.

“We are very shaken up. I am absolutely fuming.

“A man in a red jacket was filming them on the phone.

“We went straight to the police station, but it was closed.

“We dialled 101, and gave a description of the two men, and they said they will follow it up and give us a ring back.

“Somebody has a footage of my daughters on their phone and I don’t know what they will be doing with it.”

Mrs Hymers is appealing for residents who live near the park to send any CCTV footage to Essex Police.

At the time of the incident, her youngest daughter was on a hammock swing, while her eldest was playing when they noticed the two men.

The men were described by Mrs Hymers’ daughters as being “quite thin and gangly”.

She said: “The man who was filming on a black phone, was wearing blue jeans, a red jacket and had black hair.

“The children say they don’t know much about the other man, as they were looking at the man who was filming them.”

Both men were believed to be in their thirties or forties.

The incident took place after the family came back from the beach and stopped at Asda.

Mrs Hymers said she was in the supermarket for about ten minutes, when she came out her children were very scared.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “A woman reported two men filming in the car park of Asda.”

Essex Police is investigating the incident, so if you have any information call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
